After Genesis - the first instalment on Anakronik Records, which features a remix from Cristi Cons and the About Trouble release on BodyParts records, Audiothéque returns with another piece of art on their imprint: AKR002 named Guns'N'Roses. Consisting of the original track that gives the name of the EP and an additional remix from Priku, this definitely could be one to have in the bag.
On the A-side you can find the original, a track with an aggressive bass line that keeps you moving, plus some quirky percussions that create an exquisite vibe. The track had already been heavily played by big names of the scene, Raresh being just one example.
Coming on the B-side is Priku's remix. It's a little bit slower and deeper, providing another perception of this greatly shaped sound that is full of mystery; this can be excellent choice for a Sunday afternoon session. Expect more wonderful things to come, both on the Anakronik label and on other imprints!

Mathieu Cle AKA CLOSED PARADISE has made a remarkable impact with only a couple of releases under his belt
Last year's superb release on All Ears' label Fools & Fables really stood apart from contemporaries with it's nimble melodic and atmospheric take on modern mid-tempo club music. 'Get Your Bearings' has quite rightly become an anthem for loyal Balearians the world over.Above Machine have become champions of this sound from the off too, setting the bar incredibly high with a stunning catalogue of releases.
For this EP, Closed Paradise builds on those themes perfectly, a duo of dream-state dancers, rich in uplifting and warm musicality
Label masters The Project Club take the first of two remixes on the flip, replacing the musical motifs with live instrumentation and sailing off to a deserted island destination in the process.
Label mate at Fools & Fables and one of the most promising new faces Maricopa takes on A Side cut 'Horizon'. His sharp and stripped back take offers a more strikingly electronic version, which still manages to exude blissed-out brilliance on this seriously top quality EP.

With his third release of the Bella Avgvsta series, Daniel Bortz shows that Augsburg offers more then its famous Puppet Theater. The opener Don't forget your Sword provides crystal clear Techno, discreetly interrupted by accented fades of an exotic theme.With rolling Dub sequences, decent recurring swishes and a peacefull breaks Jump in the Water describes the impression to dive into the humid element. Lonely Soldier then provides more power again. The basic theme which is dominated by a minor tone displays an inner unrest created by the unknown that is daily lurking out there for us.
The beautiful deep Dub-Track Hide from the Sun finally plays with the change of shimmering heat and chilly shadow. Who does not know the feeling on a hot Open-Air-Afternoon to take an occasional time-out from the merciless burning sun.
Overall this is the most personal and deeply emotional release and as we think a worthy highlight and conclusion for the Bella Avgvsta series.

Next up on Belfast based Titanic City is Hermez an artist that first appared on Local Talks' sub label Telefonplan, a release that really turned our heads. At first we commissioned this unknown to remix duties of our first release, and now have handed him the conch for 002. To our delight we present this thundering release with influences from Detroit to Chicago, Belfast to Berlin. This one holds everything from 303s to experimental techno a must hear for where we plan on going and an insight into who came to rule. On remix duty is NICK ANTHONY (Mathematics recordings/Creme,Org/L.I.E.S) with his crunching 909 warehouse remake, which has myriad synth lines layered with real rough edge house beats.
There's a rough and raw DIY feel to this music that makes it jump out of the speakers and arrest your attention, as is always the case with Titanic City. Stand up pay attention.

The illustrious Jasper James graces Leftroom with the superb ZTRK1 single, complete with two vinyl-only Optimo remixes by JD Twitch!

Jasper James is a 24 year old DJ & producer hailing from Glasgow who has from birth been immersed in Glasgow's rich and vibrant music scene. Taught to DJ at just 13 by his father, Sub Club's Harri, Jasper has grown up with access to an impeccable and wide ranging record collection of thousands from the day he was old enough to cue up a record.Jasper has already featured on BBC Radio1's world renowned Essential Mix radio show more than once. Not only has Skream played his productions in his mix, but Jasper took the reigns to provide his own Essential Mix in May 2014.

In the same year, Jasper has made various appearances on Rinse FM with both guest slots and show takeovers. As a result, Rinse FM have now given Jasper a monthly residency.His debut release 'Sneaky E.P' on Optimo's Optimo Trax label went down a storm on dancefloors over the summer with backing from the likes of Bicep, Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Richy Ahmed, Skream and 2 Bears to name a few.

ZKRT1 is a fantastic slice on unadulterated techno; Jaspers original has been going a treat with crowd of late. Featured on this 12' only are these two brilliant remixes by JD Twitch, a mesmerizing Optimo mix and heavy head-spun Live Jam for those darker floors!

With Jozef K & Winter Son's May the Lord Have Mercy On Us All, Let's Play House dives deeper into the world of techno. The record includes two dubby originals—'Like Falling Angels' in addition to the titular track—as well as a pair of remixes from some of N. America's finest: Luke Hess of Detroit and Basic Soul Unit of Toronto.

That's really all you need to know! The 30-minute-long journey is all at once calming and energizing, hypnotizing and exhilarating, accessible and heady. It's also spooky and chilling, thanks to the slow boil build of each cut on its own and the 12' as a whole. After the warm welcome of Amsafe Traxx 1,Kristina returns with Traxx 2 a new 12" one track each side,that will be available in record shops early september.
Side A, this time is signed by Modellover, a track produced by the tandem of Kristina and the respected producer Eduardo de la Calle.This new duet is designed by both artists to publish cuts with a high emotional content with connotations and influences rooted to the first American Electro sound, serving as guide and inspiration artists like The Other People Place And or Japanese Telecom.
A track certainly very emotional and optimistic driven from its center by a sub frequency and a flashing mesmerizing melody that is accompanied by sporadic effects hi hats and arrangements that make each compas something unique and different from the previous.
On the B side appears Deforming Reality,a track signed by Kristina, focused again in the dancefloor.
The peculiarity of the track lies in an unexpected esamblaje in the middle of it. The first part very dynamic, is marked by a sound with dub character that constantly transmuted through effects .After the central stop the track begins to distort reality which initially gave life giving way to a second part reminds an atmospheric version of 'dark silhouette' and published on the first catalog record ( Traxx 1) making clear the taste of Kristina for dark and symmetric sounds that characterize her.

Markus Fix has been one of the early companions of Deep Vibes Recordings and we're happy to see him back with this stunning 3 Track solo EP. Next up on Belfast based Titanic City we return to where it all began with a release from Martin De Brig, we first heard this release at a label party as part of Martin's live show. From then, with the crowd reaction we knew it was or next stop. This track is more rooted in Chicago than Detroit with a Jacken baseline and the highest of synth lines, The Chris Nez remix takes it a totally different direction with more of a Electro feel. on the flip A dog called Cairo has an arpeggiated synth line that builds and builds layered with hats rides claps and snares another floor filler. On remix duties for this one we have Snuff Crew who need no introduction.

Belfast is slowly becoming a must stop destination for artists from all around the world and needless to say the talent is beginning to flourish. TITANIC CITY aims to harness and nurture what they can from this City's talent of aspiring producers. Martin De Brig an Artist who first popped up with a ground shaking remix of Mark Forshaws 360 vision, followed by additional remix work on French label Got2Go records, Martin makes his production debut with a track firmly influenced by his passion for Detroit and Chicago's House and Techno scenes. It's a deep track with a bassline Mr Fingers would be proud off. layered with strings, soaring pads and an abundance of hats and snares.. everything we love at TC.

For the debut release of his own label Cellaa Music, Martin Heyder is stepping up himself with the fantastic 'Looking At You' EP. Featuring two piping hot slices of deep electronic music, This EP puts Martin´s talents on full display, with "Looking At You" and "Things Happen That Way" all coming strong with addictive hooks, clever sampling and that unique Martin Heyder style that is simple magic for the dancefloor.

"Looking At You" is a pure dancefloor rocket containing an infectious groove. The heavy bassline and the pumping percussions give the track a strong drive that delivers us to the break, a catchy Vocal Stab breaking up the energy before kicking back in fully again. The track is full of surprises as it twists and turns into different sounds that come and go. Welcome to the signature sound of Martin Heyder.

"Things Happen That Way" is a track that immediately commands attention with it's rolling woody percussions and swishing beats, with a firm rolling kick drum and wubby sounds running right through its core. Fast ein Sprung zwischen Generationen, ist doch überraschend viel Zeit vergangen seit SASCHA FUNKEs letztem Solo-Release mit Kompakt, dem 2001er DREI AUF DREI (KOMPAKT 29) - doch mehr als wettgemacht hat der Berliner Produzent das mit seiner Teilhabe an Saschienne, dem Projekt welches er zusammen mit Komplizin Julienne Dessagne ins Leben gerufen hat. Der tiefe, mitreissende Techno ihres Albumdebüts UNKNOWN (KOMPAKT 255 CD 98) fand glühende Anhängerschaft - und kann nun auch als idealer Leitfaden zu Saschas aktuellem Solo-Output dienen.

The UK's Steve Lawler is undoubtedly a name heavily stitched into the fabric of global club culture. A child of the acid house generation, Steve has always been embedded in a scene of his own making and as an artist, has consistently defied trends and genre with an unwavering passion for the whole electronic spectrum. His next release for Seth Troxler's imprint Play It Say

It is no different. Serving up a classic journey into straight up house, 'That's House' is an ode to the elemental structures of a groove that simply makes your body move. An old school bass line underpins the evolving sound bed that weaves a tangle of rhythms and sounds into bubbling acid lines. A spoken sample throughout invites the dancer to 'get on down' the message is simple, the hook undeniable. Bside 'Most Beautiful Girl' has a more electronic edge but just as much swing. Powerful divine organ melodies and full-bodied beats make this one primed for the peak time.

As an artist Steve has had releases and remixes signed by some of the worlds most established record labels, including R&S Record, Drumcode, Cocoon, OVUM, Rekids, Soma, and of course his own imprint VIVa MUSiC. Celebrating a landmark anniversary for arguably the most influential house music label of all time, Strictly DJ T.: 25 Years of Strictly Rhythm is a new mix album celebrating the rich musical history of the legendary imprint.

Mixed by Get Physical founder and long-term Strictly fan DJ T., Strictly DJ T.: 25 Years of Strictly Rhythm includes tracks from seminal Strictly artists including Logic, Aly-Us, DJ Pierre, Hardrive, DJ Sneak, Wink and many more, with a brand new edit of each track provided by DJ T. himself.

Strictly Rhythm first opened its doors in 1989 and quickly gained a following among club DJs thanks to a series of quality underground tracks by the likes of Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry and Kenny Dope. In 1994 Strictly notched up its first crossover hit with Real 2 Real's 'I Like To Move It', a feat it was to repeat several times during the next decade.

T's love affair with Strictly Rhythm began in 1990 during a transitional period both as a DJ and a club goer, from black music and broken beats to early electronic dance music. This was the year that T purchased his first Strictly record - Logic's 'The Warning' - and was immediately hooked on the pioneering sound of the label.

The tracklist for the two distinct mixes are made up of the some of the label's 'big hits' and some of DJ T's personal favourites: records that have flown under the radar like Audioclash 'Live And Die' and the Whipped and Turned Mix of Reality Check's 'Fantasy': two fantastic yet perhaps underappreciated records that T has brought back into the limelight.

To make the mix flow seamlessly, T has edited each of the records included from the often tricky to work with originals. 'These old tracks don't really have a mix-friendly intro and outro; they often just fade out or stop abruptly' says T. 'I wanted to make these classics easier to use in contemporary sets.

'To be able to improve a track, so that it becomes interesting and playable for DJs nowadays without changing its essence, that's my motivation.'

After dropping his 'Can't Remember'/'Talking To You' EP, his debut solo release for DFA, last summer, Austrian musician and producer Wolfram Eckert returns with a stellar four-tracker for Kim Ann Foxman's Firehouse imprint. His new offering, a track called 'United 707', finds Wolfram in fine form, delivering an infectious jam that makes us want to jump in his '80s VW Scirocco for a late-night ride around New York. The release comes backed with remixes by Simoncino and Legowelt! Pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl, housed in a full colour sleeve, limited to 500 copies worldwide.

Out of Detroit and into Amsterdam comes Anonym's new XXX series, The Private Selection pt1.

One of the most charismatic and respected DJs in Poland, Eltron (aka Eltron John) presents what is probably the most expressely club-oriented record in Transatlantyk history.

His four track offering sounds much like his sets - ferocious and subtle, raw and sophisticated at the same time.
The main mix of 'B&S' blends druggy deepness inspired by the vibe of 90s Tribal America with UK Funky riddims, creating the sort of pneumatic house groove that never fails to get the party rocking.
This simple, yet meticulously produced tune has already been road-tested and received enthusiastic feedback from a number of jocks around Europe, and the vinyl version seems destined to strengthen its deserved banger-with-a-message status.

The dub version of fuses layers of darker, industrial bleeps with a classic break and a rather healthy dose of echo. Trippy and rough, yet exhilarating - it is exactly the kind of track you want to hear in a dark warehouse.

Switch to the B-side for 'The Light', where sampled vocals, pitched-down drums and fuzzy pads are combined to form a unique specimen of lo-fi R'n'B, Eltron-style.
This hazy groove is guaranteed to guide dancers ever-so-gently into the light of the morning.
Finally, 'Reprise' exposes the bare bones of the original. With its dubby, in-your-face quality, it is one for the track heads, definitely.

This is the first full-EP from Denmark's Erosion Flow aka Henrik Koefed having made his first appearance on wax at the end of 2013 with his his spaced-out edit of Next's "Too Close".

This record, ManMakeMusic's first release of 2014, pitches the breadth of Koefod's sound - running swinging, gritty house against grime-infused 4/4 and off-beat electronica.

Trialog HVOB present their second album as an interdisciplinary work of art: ten physical processes are reflected in interactive installations, visuals and sounds. With their successful debut album ('HVOB', 2013) and five EPs, HVOB have crafted a unique panoply of sound: intelligent and driving, challenging and melodic. 'Trialog', the second album by the producer duo Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, will be releases on April 17th. I. Project Above all, 'Trialog' is an interdisciplinary art project, comprising a discourse between the disciplines of sound, video and installation, realised by HVOB, the VJs licherloh and the visual artist Clemens Wolf. The theme centres on ten ubiquitous physical processes, which are being documented and interpreted interactively on three artistic levels; via Clemens Wolf's orchestrated processes, the lyrics and sounds of HVOB's tracks, and the visuals by VJs lichterloh. II. Album Tearing, mixing, bursting, melting, oxidising, breaking, imploding, etching, bending, burning, track to video, video to artwork, artwork to track: 'Trialog' depicts the transformation of ten physical processes in ten tracks. HVOB's sound distinctively shapes the album, yet the duo now interpret their acoustic palette in darker, more accentuated, techno-leaning shades. Each of the ten tracks pursues its own individual dramaturgy: the opener 'Azrael' tears apart its built-up percussive tension, 'Clap Eyes' inches along frailly, 'The Anxiety to please' deepens and condenses until it implodes. References, inspirations and associations between materials, processes and artistic disciplines create an artistic depth, which renders the album a highly complex and complete work of art.

with a surprising melody and strings.

Archetypal Detroit electro techno taken to the next level by Mr Bernardi on Burek sub label Barba. Barba shows its nasty side after the first and very nice and sweet LD Nero release. Bernardi delivers a double album worth of ideas, spread among 2 releases. The first half of the release is very much in the robots-having-an-argument rather than the peaceful-cosmic-journey vein. The tracks feature abrupt changes, stabbing asymmetrical rhythms, multiple layers of sound and a darker moodier feel. Opening track "Picture painters" is the brightest and liveliest of the three, driven by a classic undulating electro bassline with lots of room to groove within it. Bernardi gradually adds on more and more frenetic elements that push the track (and the right crowd) to ever higher levels of jerky intensity. "Sweet little cheeky" has a similar underpinning but is developed into a much more 4/4 rhythmwith dramatic changes in mood and emphasis to keep it interesting. Finally "Porcelain Candy" offers something rather different with a harsher, less fluid sound as Bernardi's machines are pushed to their rhythmic and sonic limits. Frantic techno for the freaks!

The first Keep It Zen release of 2014 is a big one: Future major player and Romanian House Gangster Paco Wegmann returns to us with a full four track EP titled 'Pimpin'.

No bullshit, just real house music! The EP, already been spun by the likes of DJ Sneak, is loaded with raw underground grooves, jacking as hell Chicago beats and killer bass line workouts that will feature heavily in other A-list sets this New Year.

'Pimpin' kicks off the A-side of the wax with its addictive dark, eerie bass line and up beat groove showing Paco Wegmann's true identity.
Parisian underground don and Adult Only head honcho Chris Carrier takes us on quite a rolling trip with his remix for 'Pimpin', giving it some well deserved love by interpreting it with real raw and gritty minimal house elements.

Flip over to the B-side and you see that Paco is a true house head delivering yet another driving club bomb 'Hustler. 909 drums keep the track bouncing alongside the hooky bass line that shape's the track into a prime time energetic club cut.

The weird and wonderful 'Jam-O-Matic' is sure to move some feet with the weight of the kick being hit at 132BPM!

After an absence of 7 years, the legendary PRIMATE RECORDINGS is back!!!!

The label that helped to shape the sound of techno in the late 1990's and on thru the early 2000's has returned, with a renewed vigour and purpose. Forthcoming releases will feature both artists associated already with us, and producers that are new to the label. We have a host of meaty treats all signed and ready to go, and the first of these releases are a series of 3, 4 track, Various Artists EP's entitled 'New Transmissions parts 1-3.
Obviously techno has moved on while we have been away, that is the nature of the beast, so as well as tracks that feature the distinctive 'Primate' sound, there will be a broader ranges of styles on the label, that will reflect where the scene is now, but still with a 'Primate' slant to them.

'New Transmissions pt1' totally encompasses this philosophy. We have friends both old and new featured on the releases, showcasing a variety of styles, but all with 2 important elements, 'groove' and 'quality'.

Jamal Moss, aka Hieroglyphic Being, returns for a new second album on Soul Jazz Records, after last year's debut 'The Acid Documents', this time under the name Africans with Mainframes.
Hieroglyphic Being and fellow Chicago producer Noleian Reusse have been releasing music under the name Africans with Mainframes for over 15 years now, ever since their debut on Hieroglyphic Being's own Mathematics Recordings label in 2005. 'K.M.T.' is the debut album from the group, a collage of apocalyptic Chicago acid meets industrial and transcendental post-house machine funk. Both intense and unique, the album of forward-thinking, experimental, boundary-pushing Afro-futurist electronic music shows why Hieroglyphic Being is regarded as one of the most serious purveyors of experimental black music today. Born and based in Chicago, Moss's music embodies two of the cultural foundation blocks of the city's musical lineage, that of Chicago's original Acid House sound (c. 1986), that of Frankie Knuckles, Phuture, Marshall Jefferson et al, alongside a rigorous experimental sound searching that taps into the cosmic musical lineage of pioneering artist Sun Ra whose Arkestra landed and was based in the city from 1946-61.
Available as both a very limited 1000 double-LP and 1000- tip-on hard Japanese card style CD, including cover art by Paolo Parisi (the Italian designer of John Coltrane graphic novel and our own Acid & Mysterons releases).

ELEM sees the light in 2012, during an electronic music improvisation night at "L'Asilo" (Arts and Culture production center in Naples, Italy) . ELEM started as an audiovisual project based on electronic music improvisation and multimedia arts, created by Loredana Antonelli ( visuals ), Fabrizio Elvetico , Emanuele Errante and Marco Messina (electronics) . ELEM is today an interesting novelty in the European electronic music scene that always welcomes new experimental and inspiring projects to give new life to Art and Music productions.

ISTHEWAY 003 will be released in the spring and remixed by the legend Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being. He considers himself a child of many. Growing up in 1980s Chicago, he was a child of the city's loft party heyday, pulled into the club scene by the grooves of Ron Hardy and Derrick Carter and kept there by the manic acid of Adonis and Steve Pointdexter. His key influence, though, is Sun Ra; the Afrofuturist jazz pioneer whose cosmic philosophies have permeated his own production work. For Moss, club space and headspace have merged into one. His releases and the catalog of his label Mathematics Recordings have a cult following worldwide, but it didn't happen overnight: with a DIY ethic and all-consuming passion, he's been pounding the streets of Chicago as a foot soldier for House Music since the edge of the early 1990s.
