The Skies, They Shift Like Chords, Roger Enos zweites Soloalbum für die Deutsche Grammophon, wurde im
Oktober 2023 unter allgemeinem Beifall veröffentlicht und enthielt zwölf schillernde musikalische Porträts,
die einen anregenden und nachdenklich stimmenden Weg durch Klang und Stille nachzeichneten. Nach einer
Reihe von Live-Auftritten, darunter ausverkaufte Shows in der Londoner Queen Elizabeth Hall und im National Sawdust in New York, präsentiert der britische Komponist und Musiker nun ein neues Mini-Album mit
acht Tracks, ”the skies: rarities”. Diese Sammlung besteht aus Neuinterpretationen und unveröffentlichten
Highlights der ”the skies...”-Aufnahmesession, zusammen mit Enos 2023 populärem World Piano Day-Track
”Through the Blue (Piano Version)” und dem ehemaligen Amazon Original Track ”Above and Below”.
„the skies:rarities“ beginnt mit zwei Stücken, die unterschiedliche Klangwelten erkunden; die Sänger des
Vocalconsort Berlin liefern den wortlosen Chor in ”Patterned Ground” für Chor und Elektronik, während
das Eröffnungsstück ”Breaking The Surface” von Scoring Berlin stammt.
”Viele dieser Tracks stammen aus Improvisationen”, erklärt Roger Eno. ”Aber sie werden dann ”aufgeräumt”,
was in der Regel bedeutet, dass Noten herausgenommen werden, um den verbleibenden Noten mehr Raum
zu geben, was wiederum den Leuten Zeit zum Nachdenken gibt.”

Originally released on 24th of August 2004 on Curb Records, twenty years later Tim McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying is being released on vinyl for the first time. Entering the Billboard 200 chart at number one with sales of 766,000 in it's first week of release culminating in over 4 million in sales. It was nominated for Best Country Album at the 47th annual Grammy Awards, with the title track nominated for Song of the Year and won in the categories for Best Country Song and Best Male Country Vocal Performance. Five singles were released from the album, all top 15 hits on the Hot Country Song Charts, with two number ones.

Inside Automatic Popular Music there are two people sitting in a room, their backs to each other. One plays a piano with no particular attention to detail and tuning of the instrument, and another, sitting behind him, claps his hands on his own legs. They do not see each other, they never look at each other, they can only listen to each other, look around. The room is large enough, it is daytime, there are four windows through which enough light enters to illuminate the objects and furniture with objects on them. October, the temperature is great and outside the window there are many people and all these people are dancing to the music of another record.

Automatic Popular Music was recorded and mixed by Nicola Ratti between July and December 2023. The tracks consist almost entirely of sounds generated by automatisms programmed on modular synthesisers. These are combined with tape loops on which fragments of both acoustic and digital pianos are engraved, generating tracks that are structured on repetitiveness in both their rhythmic and harmonic components. The adjective 'popular' is in this case the result of the other adjective 'automatic' since the machine has been entrusted with the task of generating the melodic patterns and harmonic structures of the tracks on the disc.

Automatic Popular Music is the first release by LL, a curatorial and editorial platform based in Milano and formed by artists and curators.

CACOPHONY was formed in 1986 by guitarists Marty Friedman and Jason Becker and
signed to Shrapnel Records. They released two studio albums 'Speed Metal Symphony'
(1987) and 'Go Off!' (1988) and remained active until 1989.
CACOPHONY both albums showcase unique performances of highly technical playing,
typical of the 1980s shred era, with songs featuring fast tempos, melodic solos, exotic
neoclassical scales and dual guitar harmonizations. Several tracks were entirely
instrumental, which prominently demonstrated Marty Friedman and Jason Becker's
renowned technical skills.
'Go Off !' is their second and final studio album . Both Marty Friedman and Jason Becker
released their own solo albums : 'Dragon's Kiss' and 'Perpetual Burn', respectively in 1988,
before the release of 'Go Off!’. Marty Friedman later joined the thrash metal band
Megadeth in 1990, remaining with them for nine years as well as releasing several more
solo albums, while Jason Becker enjoyed a short stint in David Lee Roth's solo band from
1989 to 1991.

“Big City Blues” is the title of the new – fifth – album by the Antwerp band Handkerchief , which will be released on September 27. As the title suggests, the big city now plays a more central role in the band's world. This results in a harder rocking sound, more guitars, but
still the bluesy feeling with a steamy horn section and the rough voice of Christof Annaert, which also sounds like he has single-handedly cleared every dark alley in the big city of every possible scum.

Their latest albums “Mutiny Ballads & Fishguarding Songs” and “Ghosts of this Town” were particularly well received by the press and fans. Singles such as “They Drive by Night”, “Human Sense” and “Lucky Day” were regularly heard on national radio: including Willy,
Radio 1… and the band played dozens of shows in Belgium and the Netherlands. This fall the band will go on tour to present the new album.

Sahra Halgan, Somaliland's iconic singer, freedom fighter, and cultural activist, returns with third album Hiddo Dhawr, a culmination of enduring friendship and global exploration

Seamlessly blending age-old Somali traditions with abrasive guitar riffs, sun-drenched percussion, and vintage keys, the album offers a fresh take on the music of Somaliland, the independent but not internationally recognizedd state in the Horn of Africa

Inside a large, tent-like structure in downtown Hargeisa, Somaliland's tranquil capital city, the atmHiddo Dhawr, Somaliland's first music venue. Halganoured head scarfs, revealing elaborate hairdos and impeccable eyebrows, as they rise to their feet and start to dance. On the stage at the far end of the room a drummer and oud player up the tempo, while the singers pass the microphone to one another. The atmosphere is electric, and as the evening progresses, the joy in the room is palpable.

This is Hiddo Dhawr, Somaliland's first music venue. "I started it because I wanted to bring back our culture, so that people can be proud of it," says Sahra Halgan, cultural activist, musician, and founder of this lively Hargeisa cultural hub, which opened in 2013.

Hiddo Dhawr, which translates to "promote culture", is also the name of Halgan's new album, an electrifying blend of Somali melodies, distorted guitar riffs, thumping West African percussion, and Halgan's unique, warbling vocals. Halgan chose this name for the album to honour the women of Somaliland.

it was one of the first albums in which captured the audience’s attention by means of double entendres in the songs. The release became one of the most eccentric and scandalous albums of its time and remains one of the most sought-after gems in the history of discography.

"Distant Call" ist im Gegensatz zu "Spell Blanket" eine Sammlung früher Demos von Songs, die später als fertige Produktionen auf den Alben "Haha Sound", "Tender Buttons" und "The Future Crayon" erscheinen sollten. Das Album enthält außerdem zwei Songs, die James nach Trishs Tod entdeckte: "Come Back To Me" und "Please Call To Book". "Distant Call" schließt die Tür zu Broadcast und wird die letzte Veröffentlichung der Band sein.

Was als leichtfüßiges Experiment begann, wurde zu einem starken musikalischen Statement, das in der Jazzwelt auf begeisterte Resonanz stieß und erfolgreiche Touren mit einer großartigen Band nach sich zog. Nun folgt endlich das lang ersehnte zweite Album: Auf LOVE AVATAR setzt der im oberbayerischen Bad Aibling geborene Wahlberliner seine Suche nach neuen musikalischen Galaxien und Paradoxien, emotionalen Eruptionen, unwiderstehlichen Grooves sowie dem Unwirklichem, Übersinnlichem und der Liebe in der Musik fort.
LOVE AVATAR von Peter Gall und seinen Mitstreitern ist reichhaltiger, komplexer, aber auch fokussierter und konsequenter als der Vorgänger. Mystisch, heißblütig und bissig, multidimensional und vor allem mit einem großen Fokus auf mitreißenden Grooves. Ein reines Jazzalbum ist es irgendwie nicht, dafür gibt es zu viele Parallelwelten. Dennoch spielt der Jazz, das Unvorhersehbare, die blinde Interaktion und der Mut zum Risiko die wichtigste Rolle in diesem Konglomerat aus Post Bop, Fusion, Baião, hymnischem Indie Rock, melancholischen Synth-Sphären und hypnotisierenden Beats.

The group formed by the legendary Joseph Hill, accompanied by his two acolytes Albert Walker and Kenneth Dayes, delivers an album recorded at Mixing Lab and mixed at the Lion & Fox studio (reference studio for the RAS label) in 1989.

Recorded with 3 brass instruments, bass, drums, keyboards and percussion, it's in the pure roots tradition, with a few interesting dub twists. There's also a tribute to Bob Marley entitled ‘Psalm of Bob Marley’ and the excellent ‘Cousin Rude Boy’.

This is a pure roots album remastered to the highest standards, with a 350g cardboard sleeve showing off the full extent of Mitch Goldberg's graphic design. Never reissued on vinyl since its release, and only once on CD in the 90s.

On this new album 'BEEFKAT', Skordatura, Jozef Dumoulin and Mâäk find each other in a rough embrace of energy and raw expression, averse to compromise and with an unbridled passion that encompasses everything beautiful and ugly.

SKORDATURA
With undulating rhythms, sharp injections, angular grooves, snippets of humour and an unreal sound

sometimes reminiscentof the intergalactic funk of Battles, Skordatura conjures up a simmering pot of ideas. Fender Rhodes wizard Jozef Dumoulin provides additional fireworks as the fourth newly enlisted Skordaturian.

JOZEF DUMOULIN
Belgian pianist Jozef Dumoulin redefined the Fender Rhodes keyboard thanks to his contemporary, eclectic, and highly personal approach to the instrument. Besides his own projects, he is also a much sought-after sidekick on the jazz and improvised music circuit. Jozef currently lives in Paris.

MÂÄK
Formed more than 20 years ago as a fascinating jazz ensemble, it has now become a versatile collective with international ramifications. With Mâäk, the ever-adventurous Laurent Blondiau, Jeroen Van Herzeele, Michel Massot and Grégoire Tirtiaux form one of the most exciting avant-garde jazz bands in Belgium.

Die psychedelischen Stoner Rocker aus Nordengland bauen auf einem soliden Fundament aus schweren Riffs und Breakouts auf, das sie geschickt mit entspannten Vibes verstärken. Dabei besticht "Warped Vision" durch die Präzision, mit der jeder Hook genau auf den Punkt genagelt wird, ebenso wie durch die perfekte Balance von rauen Kanten und eingängigen Melodien. Die Band stammt aus Bradford in West Yorkshire, eine Stadt, die wahrlich nicht durch ein trocken-warmes Klima gesegnet ist. Der verregnete Norden am Rand von Englands rostendem industriellen Herzen inspirierte PSYCHLONA zu einer sehr britischen Variante von Klangideen, die ihren eigentlichen Ursprung einige Jahrzehnte zuvor im sonnigen Kalifornien hatten. Zum Desert Rock amerikanischer Prägung fügten die Engländer die rohe Energie des britischen Punk, eine großzügige Prise New Wave of British Heavy Metal sowie einige Esslöffel englischen Psychedelic Rock der 60er und 70er Jahre hinzu. Das Experiment an einigen heißen Tagen des Sommers 2016 übertraf die eigenen Erwartungen der Musiker deutlich und schon waren PSYCHLONA geboren. Im November wird es in englischen Städten düster, kalt und nass. Doch im Jahr 2018 ließ das sonnendurchflutete Debütalbum "Mojo Rising" nicht nur insulare Mundwinkel nach oben zucken. Damit stellten die Briten auch die Weichen für ihre produktiven folgenden Jahre. Im August 2020 veröffentlichten PSYCHLONA fleißig ihr zweites Album "Venus Skytrip", das im gesamten Heavy Rock Underground mit begeisterten Kritiken bedacht wurde und der Band ihre erste Nummer Eins auf der einschlägigen Webseite Doom Charts einbrachte. Das Zweitwerk sicherte ihnen auch zahlreiche Plätze weit oben auf wichtigen Jahresbestenlisten. Zwei Jahre später, im August 2022, stellten die britischen Stoner Rocker ihr drittes Album "Palo Verde" vor, das ihnen im Powerplay Magazine UK schon die zweite 10/10-Bewertung einbrachte. Mit "Warped Vision" sind PSYCHLONA bereit, um den nächsten großen Schritt zu gehen. Mit zwei neuen Mitgliedern an Bord bekam die Band sowohl beim Schreiben als auch bei den Aufnahmen frischen Wind in die Segel. Auch dank dieser Dynamik legen die insularen Wüstenrocker ihr bisher vollständigstes und spannendstes Album vor. Mit "Warped Vision" knacken PSYCHLONA den Jackpot!

Paying homage to Jerry Goldsmith's iconic original Planet of the Apes score, while embarking on a wholly original sonic journey into this unexplored era of the series chronology. Paesano has crafted an incredible musical odyssey, full of wonder and powerful emotional passages.



Paesano has been quietly producing some of the best genre scores of the last decade. His music for the Daredevil TV series, Marvel's Spider-Man video games and The Maze Runner trilogy if films have all led to this in some way. With Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, he has crafted a beautiful and sweeping score for a massive dystopian world inhabited with nuanced and delicate characters. And he does so while respecting the source material and the legacy of the franchises that loom large. It's a tightrope that Paesano deftly walks with well-earned confidence.

Seit der Veröffentlichung ihrer 2020 erschienenen Single "Cleansed Existence" werden die Industrial-Metalcore-Hellraisers HERIOT aus Bristol von Künstlern, Journalisten und Fans gleichermaßen als die nächste Hoffnung für extreme Musik gehandelt. "Devoured by the Mouth of Hell" verdoppelt nicht nur die erdrückende Klaustrophobie von HERIOTs früherem Material - es enthält auch Ideen, die sie zuvor nicht angerührt haben. Die Opener "Foul Void" und "Harm Sequence" beweisen das mit einem schwindelerregenden Doppelschlag, wobei der erste Song ein Kraftwerk des Grooves mit melodischen Anklängen ist, während der zweite ein Metalcore-Amoklauf mit Vollgas ist. In anderen Stücken wie "Opaline" und "Visage" werden die Ambient-Töne, die HERIOT zuvor nur angedeutet hatten, zu kompletten Songs verarbeitet. Die Band klingt immer noch so roh und direkt wie eh und je, doch es gibt eine Verfeinerung, die nur von ihrem schieren Drang kommen kann, etwas zu erschaffen, das dem ganzen Hype um sie herum würdig ist. Die internationale Aufmerksamkeit inspirierte HERIOT dazu, sich so intensiv wie möglich auf ihre Instrumente und ihr Handwerk zu konzentrieren, und "Devoured by the Mouth of Hell" wurde in monatelanger Schreib- und Aufnahmearbeit akribisch verfeinert. Allein das Komponieren und das Aufnehmen der Demo-Versionen nahmen fast ein Jahr in Anspruch - als die Band dann Anfang 2024 ins Studio ging, holte sie sich Hilfe vom Who's Who des modernen Metals: Sylosis-Leader und Ex-Architects-Gitarrist Josh Middleton produzierte, während Justin Hill von den Prog-Metal-Koryphäen Sikth das Schlagzeug bearbeitete und Grammy-Preisträger Will Putney (der bei den Metal/Hardcore-Schwergewichten End, Fit For An Autopsy und Better Lovers spielt) das Album abmischte. HERIOT haben ein dichtes, beklemmendes und doch abwechslungsreiches Meisterwerk geschaffen. Ihr Momentum wird sich fortsetzen, wenn die Metal-Massen ihre neuen Ideen gehört haben, und es wird nicht mehr lange dauern, bis die Band von den hellsten "Rising Stars" des Metals zu ganz normalen 'Stars' aufsteigt. Today, Los Diablos Rojos are known around the world for a unique tropical sound that has transcended passing fashions and managed to hold its own in an era marked by transience and oblivion. Over the years, they have become the forerunners of a trend that has been developing for half a century and is gaining more and more praise and recognition. They have become a musical reference for other contemporary tropical music bands that have found in Los Diablos Rojos, above all, an example of creativity and resilience.

The Peruvian cumbia band Los Diablos Rojos was born within the quincha and adobe walls of Cañete Chico with a proposal very different from what all the musicians of the time were working on: an instrumental tropical music style of their own. Even Enrique Delgado (Los Destellos), Beto Cuesta (Los Ecos) and Berardo Hernandez (Manzanita y su Conjunto), who all found a source of income in música criolla, did not limit themselves to working for hire. They were all crossing the same bridge, the bridge of tropical music. Above all, the sense of renewal was the incentive for this bet. If they wanted to change the paradigm, they would not do it by copying styles they had already heard many times before.

Der Stil von Nazca Space Fox ist eine spannende Mischung aus Post-, Psychedelic- Space-und Desert- Rock. Einflüsse von Bands wie den frühen Pink Floyd, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky und Russian Circles sind in ihrer Musik zu hören. Diese Einflüsse verschmelzen zu einem Sound, der gleichzeitig nostalgisch und modern wirkt. Das neue Studio-Album 'Ceres' bietet mit seinen fünf Songs eine Instrumental Rock Landschaft geschaffen aus Post Rock der mühelos die Verbindung zu Psychedelic Space- und Desert Rock schafft. The Man With The Horn is the 1981 album by Miles Davis, which he recorded after persuasion by his nephew Vince Wilburn, a drummer in a Chicago group that played music that combined funk, soul, and fusion jazz. Miles also met the saxophonist Bill Evans, the bass guitarist Marcus Miller and called the drummer Al Foster. The studio result was a hybrid record, divided between the Chicago group’s pieces that he himself referred to as “bubble gum music” and a very free jazz-rock. However, it's less somber and dense than the damp jungles he wandered through without direction during the 1970s. The hit “The Man With The Horn” and its sugary-sweet refrain received a lot of airplay on FM stations. Jazz lovers, rejoicing in Miles’ return, delighted in the rest of the repertory. But it was Mike Stern’s incandescent solo on “Fat Time” that everyone relished. The Man With The Horn is available as limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on gold and black marbled vinyl.

"Women + Country is the second studio album by singer-songwriter Jakob Dylan, son of the legendary Bob Dylan and frontman of The Wallflowers. The album is released in 2010 and produced by T Bone Burnett. T Bone, who has known Dylan since he was a kid, suggested the two make an album together after the singer played him the song “Nothing But The Whole Wide World"". Dylan recorded the album in less than a week in Los Angeles, with T Bone’s crack backing band, which includes Marc Ribot (a frequent collaborator with Tom Waits) on guitar and David Mansfield on fiddle and mandolin.

Born on November 29, 1933, he's primarily known for his work as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, particularly as a harmonica player and keyboardist. Mayall gained prominence in the 1960s as the founder and leader of the band John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, which served as a launching pad for numerous British blues and rock musicians. Mayall's Bluesbreakers lineup famously included Eric Clapton, Peter Green, and Mick Taylor, all of whom went on to achieve great success in their own right. Chicha Libre' first release in 10 years is an EP recorded in Mexico City and Bogotá with special guests Mexican sensation Son Rompe Pera and Colombian retro-futurist tropical band La Sonora Mazuren. The EP include covers of the classic Tequila! and Caminito de mi Tierra, first recorded by Ecuadorian cult composer Polibio Mayorga The B side consists of remixes of both those tunes in Rebajada and Rustico mode. The title of the release refers to Mexico’s Colombia’s national drinks. Both songs were remixed by Olivier Conan with Bryce Goggin.

Der Track stellt deutlich die drei Hauptkomponenten des Surf heraus: ein tragendes Gitarren-Thema (eben kein Gesang!), exotische Harmonien und Akkordfolgen sowie ein gehöriges Maß an Wildheit und Lautstärke! Leo Fender entwickelte dann für Dick Dale zwei Innovationen, ohne die die Surf-Musik nicht das geworden wäre, was sie ist: Den Fender Reverb - ein separates Federhall-Gerät - und den Fender-Showman-Verstärker. Dieses Equipment gehört gerade für Puristen auch heute noch zur Grundausstattung eines Surf-Gitarristen, der seinen Job ernst nimmt. T.H.S (The Horne Section) is a brilliant Boogie band by Henry Horne, the writer of the song "Kinky Girl" by THE CREATIONS. T.H.S also performed the memorable classic tune LADY SHINE. "The Unreleased Album" is a compilation of previously unreleased boogie tracks, recorded during 1981-1984. For the first time issued as a CD on Boogie Times Records in 2010, first time on vinyl on Saph Records in 2016 (a sub-label of Boogie Times), reissued on vinyl in an extremely limited edition of 200 copies

What's my return on love is a killer boogie track from 1983, produced by the great Donald Burnside. The B side features an inedit Tony Massera Dub Version of that song. The original release from 1983 exists only as 7" and it's extremely rare and pricy.

After a brief hiatus, Synapsis Records returns triumphantly with a captivating 12" release by Iranian artist Siamak Amidi, accompanied by reinterpretations from hm505. Synapsis-019, titled "Crack A Love Ball," showcases two original tracks from Amidi on the A side, while the B side features two mesmerizing reinterpretations by hm505.

Amidi's compositions, "Crack A Love Ball" and "Mess with You," are masterfully minimalistic and subtly intricate, filling the soundscape with rich percussion and immersive sound design. In contrast, hm505's reinterpretations infuse the tracks with lush melodies and harmonies, prominently featuring arpeggiations that evoke deep emotional responses from the listener.

Episode three for Leeds-Barcelona collective MASS connects both cities at the heart of their project with two artists from each scene.

A1 features the talented Leeds-based producer Ollie Burgess aka Zuul/R.O.E as he adds another alias to his belt, AS Groove. He is joined by Barcelona-based Driahn, a seasoned artist in the heart of the city and one-half of the DJ Service project.

Bristol's Ben Pest has established notoriety as an exponent of jacking live hardware-based techno and electro with numerous releases on labels including Asking For Trouble, I Love Acid, No Static / Automatic, Orson Records, Don't and more. Here he delivers heavy bass, vocal distortions and tough beats on ''Who Would Have Thought I'd Be'' and the accompanying ''26 Hybrid''. Maelstrom has a history of aliases and side projects, illegal raves thrown in warehouses, fields and basements, but he came into his own under his Maelstrom moniker, releasing music on the likes of RAAR (the label he co- founded with Louisahhh), Cultivated Electronics, Central Processing Unit, Mechatronica, Private Persons and Discos Atonicos.

'The 12 Moons of Ikutaro', originally slated for release in 1993 tells the story of Shioi, a young girl who embarks on an intergalactic journey to avenge the death of her father. Her journey takes her to the solar system of Ikutaro, where she must visit each moon to defeat the 'Moon Boss', and ultimately destroy the 'System Controller'. Aided by her 'Liquid Sound Device' she undertakes the task journeying between the moons on her 'Model JP8080' and meets various friends and foes on the way.

Fox & His Friends label owners Ahel & Luketic selected obscure 7'' singles, b-sides, out-of-print releases and digged deep into the vaults of Jugoton to tell the story of how disco infiltrated clubs and pop music. This compilation is vinyl counterpart to their pioneering research and work in two major exhibitions tracing roots, influences and social significance of disco in music, fashion and design held in 2015 in Klovicevi Dvori Museum and HDD Gallery in Zagreb. "Socialist Disco - Dancing Behind Yugoslavia's Velvet Curtain 1977-1987" double gatefold LP with extensive liner notes contains tunes from KIM Band, Gabi Novak, Arian, Ljupka Dimitrovska, Ana Sasso, Moni Kovacic, Milka Lenac, Rok Hotel, Ivica Surjak, Grupa ST, Nano Prsa and many more in various sub-genres including classical orchestrated disco, dance reworkings of international chart hits and synth-filled italo-disco stompers performed by Yugoslavian music stars, fashion models and even sports and football heroes. Disco, a vital Trojan horse (in local notion: a pop music you can dance to), stayed quite a long time In Yugoslavia, refusing to be silenced and refusing to jump into the bandwagon of expected. It was influenced by American and European disco sound, for example, by the Boney M, Amanda Lear or Love Machine, who all visited Yugoslavia and had live concerts. The producers and the big record companies like Jugoton, PGP RTB, Diskoton or ZKP RTVL, noted the hype in music and they constantly probed the market with limited run of seven inchers or special performances. Some artists were quite successful, but the rest were in the 7'' single empire which was free enough to experiment with all things disco had to offer - genre hybrids, use of electronics, sexual innuendo, bizarre lyrics and most importantly, great musicians and major composers having fun. The no-restrictions policy of disco was there to evade the rules and surely it did.

Unreleased themes from Kornelije Kovac for commissioned documentary short 'Raport iz Sarajeva', directed by Miodrag Zdravkovic in 1982. This music themes precede the official songs, idents and audio logos for the XIV Winter Olympic Games Sarajevo 1984 opening ceremony made by Kornelije Kovac in his Belgrade based studio from 1982 to 1984. Sourced from the original master tapes with full color artwork by Eric Adrian Lee. Includes insert with photographs from Kornelije Kovac private collection and liner notes by Zeljko Luketic. XIV Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo 1984 had immeasurable status in the history of Yugoslavia and is widely recognized by organizing committee to be the best in recent history of the Games. However, they were also the pop-culture melting pot of the times, with posters by Andy Warhol and famed local designers and the music by Kornelije Kovac, leading the selected best-of-the-best composers of the times. The recordings on this release share the same musical approach to melody and structure Kornelije Kovac (1942 - 2022) was using at the beginning and the mid of 1980s: while exploring the possibilities of synthesizer, fresh from his collaborations in London with famed composer Hans Zimmer, and almost a decade since he shared Eurovision Song Contest stage with ABBA in Brighton with his Korni Grupa, He also collaborated with Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Paul Jones (Manfred Mann) and Andy Pask (Landscape) among others. Kornelije Kovac always insisted on the freshness of the harmony layers combined with DJ friendly rhythm backing track. With the warm analogue feel that resonates in today's digital world this was chosen for a purpose to be an old-school 12'' maxi-single, as it was intended to be, cut loudly for the sakes of all lost and existing discotheques in Sarajevo and all over the world.

Dame-Music founder Bloody Mary’s ‘ALTERNATE STATES OF REALITY’ EP marks the 50th release on a label that counts KiNK, Josh Wink, Boo Williams, Fear-E and Thomas P. Heckmann amongst its roster since it launched in 2010.

The release sees Bloody Mary, Tresor resident, live artist, DJ and Producer, return to her own imprint with a full EP for the first time since 2020, produced as part of her live set ahead of her

In the ‘ALTERNATE STATES OF REALITY’ EP, Bloody Mary explores the varying aspects of her acid sound. The Undreamt-of Centreis the fourth solo album by prolific Australian drummer/composer/producer Laurence Pike, an evocative, contemporary reimagining of the requiem mass. The album drawson the sounds of modern classical music, Japanese environmental ambient music, fourth world electronics, free jazz and the choral traditions of Estonia, with particular influence from Tallinn-based composer Tonu Korvits. Produced in collaboration with the Vox Sydney Philharmonia Choir, conducted by Pike"s childhood friend, composer Sam Lipmanand recorded in a 19th century Gothic church.

ER gladly welcomes Juan Barraco aka Bunda to our catalog. Bunda is an Uruguayan producer/live performer who’s been linked to music since a young age through a classical approach with a later interest into electronic music production.

Origen EP is his debut vinyl release delivering a solid four-tracks record: dancefloor-oriented pieces on each side’s first half and two downtempo tracks as second choices.
A1 ‘No hay salida’ is a proper dancefloor piece featuring a stomper and sticky kick drum along with a non-stop bassline hypnotic pulse. A2 ‘9º Mandamiento’ features a different sound landscape with a hint of Arabic melodies in synths and basslines programming.

On the flip side B1 ‘Stardust’ crafts a more sci-fi-bleepy grooving Techno sound while keeping an hypnotical atmosphere all along. Bunda shows a different facet in B2 with ‘Xep Nuit’, where he shows his skills and creativity in musical composition and sound picking.

Mamman Sani"s electronic organ music, first recorded in 1978, made him a national hero in Niger, led to him writing the Niger"s new national anthem, and has long been cherished by aficionados for its unique blend of traditional Nigerien melodies and synth experimentation. Mamman"s music embodies a sense of intimacy, echoing the presence of a solo artist in the room with the listener.

"Im Schwarzwald" ("Hamburg Spinners in the Black Forest") is the third album by the mod-jazz quartet Hamburg Spinners. The Hamburg Spinners are Carsten Meyer on organ, Dennis Rux on guitar, David Nesselhauf on bass and Lucas Kochbeck on drums.

"Im Schwarzwald" was recorded live in January 2024 at the legendary MPS studios in Villingen-Schwenningen to capture the band's sound 1:1, with only a few shouts and handclaps added afterwards. The songs offer the tried and tested swinging mix of soul, R&B and mod jazz. Meyer's soulful organ sound, reminiscent of Booker T. Jones, Ingfried Hoffmann and Georgie Fame, is carried by Rux's warm and gripping guitar sound, Nesselhauf's dynamic bass playing and Kochbeck's precise and tight drumming.

Carsten Meyer. Keyboardist and composer. Wrote the music for the TV series "Der Tatortreiniger" and makes people dance as "Erobique".

Dennis Rux. Producer and guitarist. Funk, soul & 60s garage on the mixing console and guitar. Recently on the road with Tetrao Urogallus, Trashmonkeys, Rhonda and Thee Pounders.

David Nesselhauf. Musician. Solo with "Afrokraut", bassist with Diazpora and various other projects in Hamburg.

Lucas Kochbeck. Writes music for films and is active as a drummer live and in the studio. Current projects include Diazpora, The KBCS, Flo Mega, The Kiez, Bacao Rhythm and Steelband, The Winston Brothers.

The follow up to the largely instrumental (and apparently sold out) "FUSION TO ILLUSION" LP takes us back to the deep house + boogie RNB zone this duo does so well. Side A sees a previous 7" only tune "PURPLE" get a 12" treatment alongside instrumental "EAR DREAMIN". The flip has instrumentals.

This release, by pianist Christian Rowell based in Florida, was released in 2021. With vocals that show respect for Quasimoto and a jazzy touch added to the boom-bap, this is a amzing cover. The B-side includes a version produced by Mac DeMarco, a Canadian treasure and a key figure in the indie scene of the 2010s, and an instrumental version that has been streamed close to a million times on Spotify. This 7-inch release is now available!

In between Lazerdrome / Phonomena releases (news on that soon) and with a folder full of spare tunes, this 4 track EP comes on white vinyl on sister label DragonDrop Records
This release features a mix of happy pianos, dark synths, ruff beats and Jungle Tekno vibes, all at various BPMs so there’s a bit of something for everybody.
On the A-side, Zer0 Gravity Fire is fast-paced ’94-style stompy hardcore (160BPM) with rushy pianos, while the synths and piano lines of Mind Over Mind slow the pace down a bit at 140BPM in an early ‘92 style.
On the flip side, Weird Dreams (160BPM) takes you between the worlds of happy and the darkside and Danger: Battledroid is an experimental dark hardcore track at 165BPM, mixing well in either a hardcore or jungle set.

This iconic vinyl EP from LCD Soundsystem has not been in print and for sale since 2012.

Originally released in 2007, the EP contains two non-LP tracks, including the 12 and a 1/2 minute slo-mo disco workout 'Freak Out / Starry Eyes' and the instrumental burner 'Hippie Priest Bum Out' (made popular on 'Fabriclive 36: Murphy and Mahoney').

Paul Bradley then goes back, once again, to the 1994 sound with his track, with all the energy of a freight train only stopping for the euphoric breakdowns. Iconic Deep House label Large Music returns to the vinyl market with a limited repress of the classic Kerri Chandler release Return 2 Acid. First pressed in 2005, this was the 100th release on Large and has been out of print for 10 years. The A side features Kerri's powerhouse tribute to the glorious days of Acid House laced with driving beats and an incessant 808 acid line. On the flip side Kerri goes old-school, this time with an electro Afrika Bambaataa influenced jam entitled Planet Sonic. Also included for this special reissue is the unreleased Acapella of Return 2 Acid solidifying this as a true collectors item.
