Luigi Giomini and Massimiliano Miele aka Marsupials have come a long way since their debut on Seven Music in late 2014, delivering a string of original content since via the likes of Large Music Scucci Manucci, Dabit, and Black Key Records. Here, the duo push on by joining the roster of Kerri Chandler's Madhouse Records yet another substantial step forward for the rising duo.

Title cut 'Gotta Get You' kicks things off and sees Giomini and Miele provide an atmospheric deep house workout with crunchy rhythms, stirring pad lines, wandering stab sequences and weighty doses of sub bass.

'Quilb' follows and takes things into deeper realms with a loose rhythmic swing, bubbling background synth tones and dubby chord hits, while closing piece 'Hot Donuts' rounds off the package on a gritty stripped back tip laying the focus on weighty drums and soaring chord progressions. Medlar returns with his first EP since his debut album, Sleep. Having recently worked with Dan Shake on a collab EP for Delusions of Grandeur and remixing Andreya Triana for Ninja Tune. WOLFEP030 sees Medlar in fine form with fans of Sleep being treated to four complex and varied tracks.

For those who caught Furness' Four 4 The Floor EP, and are familiar with his work, this release is further evidence of how much of a fledgling purveyor of deep grooves and heavy-hitting rhythms Furness is. Title track Gone Fishing utilises string keys as the foundation of the track and marries the emotive, elongated synths with a dubby bassline and quick hitting snares. Acropolis is tougher, centering distorted pads against intermittent piano chords, muffled vocal grabs and a deep, cosmic bassline. Red808 is a no-nonsense roller, with its slick snare and hi-hat/hand-clap tandem working superbly against the climbing synths. Blackstar adopts a similar framework to Acropolis, wrapping up the EP in style with its similarly lo-fi, distorted percussion charged against rapturous chords taking the track into further sonic terrain.

The 2nd from local mainstay for HTH holds 4 house cuts that encapsulates the Vancouver sound, meandering seamlessly from hazy Summertime vibes to robust stripped back late night grooves.

Tribe Records founder Zepherin Saint makes his debut on its sub-label TRIBE Traks with a pair of hedonistic house numbers.
Saint has been active in the electronic music since the 80s where he would heat up crowds for the likes of Michael Jackson when
not spinning in London's warehouse scene. His renowned imprint Tribe Records was launched in 2009 and surpassed 100 releases
late last year, around the same time TRIBE Traks was launched. The young label has so far hosted the likes of Manoo, Dazzle Drums,Victor Stancov and DJ Angelo, a solid early roster making the label's 2016 plans even more exciting. 'Tradition' is a rhythmic number boasting numerous percussive elements and a sultry low-end for an outright party anthem. On the other hand, 'Canima' gradually incorporates a medley of synths and atmospherics to form a heightening suspense before introducing an impassioned vocal to the mix.

Following EPs for Creme Organization and W.T. Records, Art Crime delivers a four tracker of meltingly good music on Pinkman Records. Chords cascade, blending and reforming, in the warming wonder of 'Still Life', 'Dead Carnation' is from a similar place. Keys skipping down scales, dancing down them as percussion lends a touch of weight.'Distant' is the mood changer. Rain falls, smoke whirls and the night descends in this dark and intoxicating encounter. But those clouds part for the close. Paris based Confluence records is entering the music scene with a stunning 4 track EP from true deep house scientist Darand Land. On this debut Land provides his very own interpretation of the Confluence concept. The result is a beautiful project that takes the listener to another sphere of consciousness, through a cosmic journey filled with intense feelings & emotions. A vinyl only release of 300 copies coming with artwork from Aurelien Farina, a French graphic-designer who adds his vision of Confluence's concept to this Exposure to Form EP.

Massive! The Konstantin Sibold Remix is already supported by Agoria, Dixon,
­e, Tale of Us, Scuba, Tensnake, Wankelmut, Kyodai and a few others. It
has just entered the DMC Buzz Charts on #2!. The originals and the Simon
Garcia remix are also top notch. Later this year Compost Black will release
another Konstantin Sibold remix of the other track As Goes The Sun.

DJ Yellows real name Alain Ho has been around for ages. When he met Chris
(Bob Sinclar) in the early 90's during a night out, things took a turn.
They started their label Yellow Productions in 1993, to critical acclaim.
An underground label at first, it was perhaps Yellow's search for
personality and his ear for quality that opened the door to a colourful
palette of signings, that included artists as diverse as Dimitri From
Paris, Kid Loco, Bang Bang, Joe Claussel, Salome de Bahia and of course Bob
Sinclar himself, all of which have helped to shape the French sound, as it
is today. After a decade of fruitful cooperation and dedication to helping
other people's careers, Yellow finally decided to begin Poussez Music in
2003, as an outlet for his own sounds, and that of his close friends,
including King Britt, Kenny Larkin, and Josh Wink, amongst others. The
label has shone more than ever in 2007. Through three projects, Alienation
(instrumental), Intermission (vocals) and Paule (non-dance), Yellow has
created a wide canvas to push his diverse sounds and inspirations into the
world. After six hypnotizing Alienation releases through Poussez, Yellow
completes the series in 2007 with a grand finale through invitations on
Plastic City, Josh Wink's respected Ovum Records, the prestigious Morrison
Recordings, Slipen Side Records, Ibadan Records and Deep Focus, featuring
a special rework from no other than Deep Dish's Dubfire.

Montreal's Flowers And Sea Creatures have been building a formidable
reputation since their debut EP 'Test Pressing' in September 2010. Together
with the follow-up 'A.M' in Feb 2011 and their full release album in 2011,
they have been turning some serious heads in both the electronic
underground and the alt-rock overground. They deliver a deeply atmospheric
and cinematic sound - Graham Baxter's vocals and crystalline acoustic
guitars riding over Kosta Megalos' atmospheric synth work. Baxter was born
in Belfast and Megalos was born in Athens and both immigrated to Montreal
with their respective families in their youth. The two met in the 1990s and
they started writing together and playing the local bar scene while always
working away at writing their blend of acoustic and electronic original
music. Record deals nearly came and mostly went and it was in the early
2000s that the duo began in earnest writing the exploratory music that
would become Flowers And Sea Creatures staple. Baxter had decided drop the
vocals in favour of their new instrumental direction. Ironically however,
it was an instrumental track that caught the ear of Buzzin' Fly label boss,
Ben Watt but Watt, although impressed with the music, thought the track
needed a vocal. Ultimately Baxter sang on the track leading to their
signing with BuzzinFly. To date the duo have collaborated with Ewan
Pearson, Fred Everything, The Revenge and Ytre Rymden
Dansskola.Inspirations include Chet Baker, Bowie, BjEverything But The
Girl, Giorgio Moroder, The Art of Noise, Kraftwerk, The Cure.

These two cats from Germany deliever one big tune after the other, their recent hit - Acamar' on Innervisions was probably one of the most played tracks this year. Now they are back on Drumpoet with - Ways Of The Sun', a deep and emotive tune which features the beautiful vocals of swedish singer La Oeberg. Der kalifornische Produzent, Musiker und Sänger Seven Davis Jr. stammt aus San Francisco. Dort
absolvierte er eine amtliche Drogenkarriere, spielte Klavier in Blues-Clubs und versuchte sich als Ghostwriter
für Rapper. Als House-Produzent machte er erstmals 2013 mit der freigeistigen, an Theo Parrish und
Moodymann erinnernden Debüt-EP "One" auf sich aufmerksam. Der folgte 2015 der freakige, gängige HouseKonventionen kreativ in den Wind schlagende Langspieler "Universes" beim Label Ninja Tune. "Future
Society" versammelt nun jedoch kein weiteres eigenes Material. Es handelt sich vielmehr um eine
Kompilation mit Newcomern, die Seven Davis Jr. zuletzt in den USA, Neuseeland, Großbritannien und der
Schweiz über den Weg liefen und so bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen haben, dass ihnen der Kalifornier eine
große Zukunft voraussagt. Daher auch der Titel "Future Society". Insofern besteht keine hörbare musikalische
Klammer, die dargebotenen Genres reichen von Soul über House bis zu Electro.

Back in January 2015, Steve Spacek (Spacek, Africa HiTech, Black Pocket, Space Invadas) - a British vocalist and producer whose fearless approach to creation has always been progressive and highly original - dropped his debut album Modern Streets under the moniker Beat Spacek. Created entirely on iOS apps for iPhone and iPad, it was a highly original and utterly essential anthology of his progressive and deeply soulful electronic excursions.

Three like-minded souls step up on remix duties: Seven Davis Jr, dBridge and Animal Collective. SDJR transposes Spacek's digi-funk onto a jaunty 4x4 groove with typical panache, finding favour with Four Tet, Daphni and Floating Points (amongst others) who hammered it through the summer. On
the flip, dBridge (Steve's brother) and Deakin from Animal Collective showcase their own machine funk interpretations - the former sleek and weighty as you would expect from the Exit Records boss and the latter gloriously scattershot in its form and function.

A hazy layer cake from Chicago producer head nods give way to jazzy footwork, sliced up vocal samples tuck into a neck breaking backbeat, with gear shifts a-plenty. 100 copies only.

Ever the shape -shifters and genre-benders, on their newest EP 'Lullaby' San-Francisco dance darlings PillowTalk move away from their innovative brand of housified soul and look toward the misty terrain of lush, 80s-inspired synth-pop. Turn down the collars on your Izods, switch on your Walkman, and drift into that delicious space between...between waking and sleeping, love and loss, making out and making up.

A swirl of Rhodes, tape delay, and pedals, 'Lullaby' is more a dreamscape than a track. Inspired by work from acclaimed illustrator David Polonsky, 'Lullaby' is a sonic map of that perpetual dusk in which the tender of heart dwell. Cascading handclaps, delicate bubbles and squeaks, and a characteristically spare kick are cut through by a punchy live bassline that exudes more humanity than a million synthesizers could ever imagine. For a sense of the mood just imagine sweet caresses through a fog that barely obscures your lover's face, or an old teen romance on faded VHS. When vocalist Sammy D, sounding more pensive and breathless than ever before, obliquely asks an unnamed someone, 'you're not a weapon, are you' one wonders if he's not thinking about PillowTalk's own ability to destroy our own expectations about what dance music is supposed to be.

For all the sullen moodiness of 'Lullaby,' the EPs B-side, 'We All Have Rhythm,' brings a return of the sassy, white-boy R&B swagger we've come to know and love from the boys. No more feeling sorry for ourselves, we're all invited to sing along over a slice of uplifting electronic psych-funk that is sure to wake up any slumbering afterparty.

San Francisco threepiece live band PillowTalk are surprising dance music treasures. Manipulating pop melodies, classic R&B, soul and boogie into the loose rhythms of house music and performing live on stages in nightclub settings across the world, they have bridged an impossible gulf between worlds and created new expectations for electronic producers and live musicians alike.

Their success is twofold, for not only are they stand out performers capturing the stage with Sammy D's bold and sultry vocals, multiinstrumentalist Ryan Williams' dextrous guitar and keys and Mikey Tello's fluid synth work (not to mention their matching classic black tie attire) they are also musical chameleons. A soundtrack to long nights, lazy days and the hazy space between sleeping and waking, the record spans everything you want from the band: sunsplashed jams, peaktime party tunes and lowlit moments of intimacy.

Raffaello & Palermo is the union of two friends and old LPH brothers, Damon Palermo, a.k.a. Magic Touch, and Raphae¨l Valensi, a.k.a. Laura Ingalls. Palermo's an Angeleno who came up in the Bay Area scene of the mid-aughts and Valensi's a Frenchman dwelling in Shanghai, perhaps best known for his work as the Horses, a duo comprised of him and Cle´ment Pony.
